Congratulations to BCIRPU scientist Dr. Ian Pike who received $267,750 from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research for his study of the unintended consequences of implementing stay-at-home policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project will use several sources of data to better understand how many children and youth suffered a violence-related injury during the pandemic. The research team will use data to report on the type of injuries that occurred and how, so this information can inform us of what to do to prevent this from happening in the future.
