BCIRPU Director Dr. Ian Pike has received a 2022 UBC Faculty of Medicine Award for his Service to the University and Community.
According to the UBC Faculty of Medicine, this award “recognizes significant contributions to local, national, or international communities aimed at improved health outcomes of the population.”
Dr. Pike was humble in his acknowledgement of the award. “I am really honoured, and know fully how much of this recognition is because of the outstanding and exceptional work of the BCIRPU team,” he said.

The BC Injury Research and Prevention Unit is a leader in the production and transfer of injury prevention knowledge and the integration of evidence-based injury prevention practices in the daily lives of those at risk, those who care for them, and those with a mandate for public health and safety in British Columbia.
