BCIRPU and Preventable win awards in boating safety and road safety

Preventable won the 2021 Award for Best Boating Safety Media at the Canadian Safe Boating Awards (CASBA). Preventable was recognized for its work to develop and implement Recreational Boating Safety in British Columbia: A Social Marketing Campaign as part of a research program funded by Transport Canada. BCIRPU Director Dr. Ian Pike attended the awards ceremony in Toronto to accept the award. Learn more about the three-year project.

BCIRPU and Parachute have received the Charles H. Miller Award for Best Research and Evaluation Paper for their abstract, The Cost of Transportation Injuries in Canada, at the 2022 Canadian Association of Road Safety Professionals (CARSP) Conference. Congratulations to the authors: Stephanie Cowle and Pamela Fuselli from Parachute, and Fahra Rajabali and Dr. Ian Pike from BCIRPU.
